Location
Borovets, an Alpine-type ski resort, is located in the Rila mountain (Sofia province). It is with good conditions for snow sports during winter for all difficulty levels skiers and snowboarders.

Borovets is one of the largest ski resorts in Bulgaria, with more than 120 years of tradition. The ski resort comprises three linked ski centers: Sitnyakovo, Yastrebets, and Markudjik, which are linked by a gondola lift, modern chairlifts, and button lifts.
The winter sports area is located between 1315 and 2550 m. Borovets has 58 km of slopes available for skiing and snowboarding, with 13 ski lifts transporting guests.
The ski area has all difficulty levels slopes. Slopes are varied and pass through diverse landscapes. Sitnyakovo has slopes above the village of Borovets that runs through forest glades. Yastrebets area has long intermediate slopes for carving. Markudjik is the highest area (2144-2550m) situated above the treeline with all difficulty levels slopes.
